This is certainly not true.... Access is a desktop database with sever
limitation in comparison to its larger brother in the Microsoft
camp....Stored Procedures you have mentioned but what about Triggers,
Views, superior backup / disaster recovery, Transactions, better logging,
UDF's, greater number of SQL commands available., far far greater
performance....Access cannot even be compared to SQL Server when it comes to
that, it will win hands down.

Access also has sever limitations when it comes to file size and available
options in the tables itself such as bytes per row, database size and object
size.

Other than database performance (which in my my experience is not too
greatly different in either) the only real improvement between sql and
access is stored procs (which are great).

So how different is your code when your backend is SQL Server rather
than Access? I've worked in Access for 4 years. What can I expect to
be different if I want to work in SQL? Most simple queries will stay
the same, won't they?

I know some functions may change, but what else?

Thanks!
