Yet to be decided and may be different between netbook and MID.  Best guess is 
Netbook:  metacity + clutter, and MID:  matchbox + compositing additions + 
clutter.

The window manager will have compositing capabilities.  X Window system will be 
able to correctly render composited windows with OpenGL apps running.

Is the poor performance due to hardware acceleration issues?   We should make 
sure you have the right drivers.  In any case we want great performance of 
OpenGL, compositing, and video on all platforms.

A Mozilla-based browser (w/xulrunner) is still the plan.  Netbook:  Firefox 
3.0, MID: Firefox Mobile.    Or some derivative of these.

We are trying to understand how best to support existing Moblin 1.0 
applications but are moving away from Hildon framework.  That said, just how to 
be backward compatible is still an open topic.  The Maemo patch to GTK was for 
right-click and auto-launch of keyboard?  If these patches are still needed and 
GTK hasn't already included some equivalent functionality then we will see what 
needs to be done.
