Hi Marcel, I reverted back to MIC .47 and the install completes successfully. However, I'm now having the same problem as Bob with the "'x' respawning too fast" issue. Opened the /var/log/Xorg entry, at quick glance saw a 'unable to locate/open config file' , and 'Existing errors found in hardware state' among some other 'not implemented' or 'unknown' messages prefixed by a jumble of numbers. I tried manually installing the vesa xorg driver but didn't change anything.

The error messages below, especially "hald" and "connmand" suggest that the "communication" fset has not been installed (or that it was not possible to select it). In the 0.47 release there is a communication fset which provides these programmes. The error message 'ID "x" respawning ...' could mean that the X-Server has problems to start. Can you switch between the consoles with ctrl-alt-F[1234]? Or is not even this stage reached? If yes you could try to take a look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log and find out the reason. I also installed manually the "vesa" xorg driver on the target to make sure that the xorg-server finds a device (open target shell from MIC and type: "yum install xorg-x11-drv-vesa").
