Our initial goal with MIC2 is to be able to create images in a very
straightforward way and without any chance for contamination of the the
file-system, a problem we had very often in MIC1. MIC2 itself is not a
development environment, it creates development environments.
We will support customization of the images beyond just installing packages
and running post-scripts, however, all in the context of creating images.
One available feature currently is being able to chroot the filesystem just
before the image is created using the --shell option. Another that we will
support is adding packages or files to existing images.
This is only the first drop of the tool, expect many additional features in
the future.
