Try running strace on the java app. I remember there was a problem with
readlink appending /persistmnt to the actual path. The workaround was to create
the /persistmnt directory and create symoblic links.

Subject: [Moblin Dev] Unable to run java application

>From a MIC target terminal (chroot), I installed sun-java6-bin and
sun-java6-jre and can run my Java application from there. However, If I
create a USB LiveRW from that same target and run it on my hardware I
get all sorts of errors like "unable to find libjli.so" and "unable to
find libjava.so". Even the "java -version" command produces the same
result. However, I was able to eliminate the "unable find libjli.so"
problem by explicitely specifying the path of the library with
LD_LIBRARY_PATH, but this does not solve the "unable find libjava.so"
issue.

I did a lot of reading and tried lots of things to fix the problem. Can
it be caused by the fact that I am running from a LiveUSB?
Do you have any suggestions?

I am running Moblin 1, "menlow-lpia-ubuntu-hardy" Platform, with the
core, crownbeach-config, developer-tools, gnome-mobile, ubuntu-kernel
and ubuntu-mobile Function Sets.

Thank you.
