Hello,
in the last few weeks we are trying to build Opencontrail Debian
packages using builds in contrail-packages repository. We were facing a
couple of bugs and some things that were not packaged yet but now it
seems we are almost done with working builds and setup.
For complete list of changes, you can have a look at our Github fork [0].
Most important fixes are:
- include setup in original contrail-vrouter-init in
contrail-vrouter-agent package
- build contrail-nodemgr
- build contrail-database package (running Cassandra under supervisor is
required for nodemgr to work properly)
- many bugfixes
These changes are also contributed via Gerrit [1], but review process
doesn't seem to be very agile and there were/are issues with automated
tests.
Also there are some minor commits to contrail-vnc [2] and
contrail-third-party-packages [3] but these repositories doesn't have
projects in Gerrit and pull requests on Github seems to be simply ignored.
Maybe I just miss something, some contribution guide or intro would be
great.
Anyway at the moment we are facing few issues:
- missing parts of contrail-web-core (eg. file
contrail-web-core/src/serverroot/web/core/rolemap.api.js)
- these files are present in official contrail-web-core package but I
can't find where it comes from, it's not even present in
Juniper/contrail-web-core repository [4] and without it, web UI doesn't
work?
- where are sources for package contrail-f5? It is package from official
distribution but I can't find sources for it to be able to extend
contrail-packages to build it
Can someone help with these issues?
When all issues above are fixed, we are going to upload builds on our
Launchpad PPA, publish blog articles on building Opencontrail packages
using Pbuilder (clean chrooted environment) and deployment guide
together with opensourcing our Salt formulas for automated deployment.
If there is someone interested in contrail-packages (especially Debian
builds) to discuss changes and participate on further development,
please let me know.
