i agree that an ARM installer is a good idea - ARM devices are only
going to get more popular - many come with some OS pre-installed
(typically berry-flavored) but today it is generally non-trivial to
replace it safely

absolutely, this has been a huge omission from our part.

i would be interested to know how this would play out...

- whether there's a point in mastering an ISO image or just making a
 tarball of the filesystem.
- what packages to include. install ISO-like environment? just the
 base group?  booloaders?.
- whether we want to blow up that release matrix by a factor of the
 number of devices.
- finally, what the interplay between ARM releases and x86 releases
 would be.

there's at least one unofficial image out there[1]. not to mention
that some EOMA68 cards will come out with Parabola -- sooner or later
-- which reminds me of the need to package LKCL's version of uboot for
it.
