Megver - would you be able to upgrade linux-libre-lts this week?
a bug of this severity would normally a justify bug report - the
solution is obvious though, and needs little discussion
we could fix this temporarily in 'nonsystemd/mkinitcpio', and
add an emergency 'libre/mkinitcpio' package with:
/etc/mkinitcpio.conf:
COMPRESSION="gzip"
