Simutrans unfortunately is released under Artistic License 1.0 and the
developers don't want to release it under Artistic License 2.0:
http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=10455.0 (it's sad) so i
think it's useless to talk with them (or maybe not?).
This is a thread where somebody ask to replace non-free assets in
AssaultCube forum where i have intervened:
http://forum.cubers.net/thread-5886.html if you are interested.
Each of us should talk with the developers of a non-free project in
the blacklist and explain the reasons of release a free product.
This is what i do since i fell in love with free games and free software.
