I also think it would be nice to have a hook for plugins here. If patch with hooks to add columns to messagelist will be applied, then I'd remake my patch with a spam/nonspam column into plugin. But I'd need hook in a searchfilter (together with hooks in IMAP flags handling maybe, but that's another story) to be fully satisfied.
