Now, that gives some perspective but doesn't answer exactly where to help. However, I hope that he or others can now point you to some good back-end places that aren't too hard for starting. I think refactoring is a good way to help, i.e. help us clean up bulky functions. At any rate, please feel free to check in or ask specific questions. Assuming you have the site built, you could try just looking over the files and asking questions where it isn't clear what does what. Discussion about the code will help everyone clarify things and move forward.
