Having the functionality, even if optional, is a really bad idea to
begin with - some malicious person or app could turn it on.

We spent a lot of time on corewatcher to enable and integrate
systemd's journal functionality, ensure all privacy related data is
removed etc.. Most of this code is actually in Tizen. I'd encourage
you to start smaller and focus on specific problems first. We even
wrote a framebuffer UI to display error messages to users that have
lost their UX functionality...
