All of the email you wrote is great to hear, and eagerly awaited. The situation with package maintenance in Tizen is currently quite bad:

- packages are added or updated ad-hoc, as-needed by other packages
- there is no clear understanding of who is maintaining what and what are their duties as a maintainer - there is no clear version update policy, for many (most?) packages no one tracks and updates upstream releases.

See e.g. my ongoing attempt to update Rygel to latest upstream (I'm the de facto maintainer for now), which triggered a cascade of other necessary updates:
