Hi Alexander,

The .git in my home folder was probably there from doing a "git init" and
cloning source code for things not related to Tizen I guess. I was told in an
earlier post not to do git init in the Tizen source directory. I've just
searched my directories, and I see quite a few .git folders under various
projects I've worked on.

Ok, I've renamed the ~/.git folder, and ran the gbs build command again and I'm
getting entries like this now:

nohup: ignoring input
gbp:debug: ['git', 'rev-parse', '--is-bare-repository']
gbs:info: the following packages have been excluded build from gbs config:
   libtool
   gettext

So, thank you for that. It seems to be working now. Finally!

Thanks to Junchun and Geoffroy also.

this is your actual issue. it looks in the directories above, to see if
you’re trying to build single package. it finds in your home directory
“.git”, and considers your whole home directory as one package.

Please, make sure that area where you put source code and trying to build
is outside of any other git trees.

Generally, you shouldn’t have your home directory as git tree… so I’m
really curious how you end-up of having “.git” in your home.
