Dominig, Yocto tools is a very good choice for the future Tizen building support, and we are also getting ready to use and support it. But Yocto tools generated images are different than OBS/gbs generated ones. That’s why gbs localfullbuild has its own value in current stage: it can generate almost identical images of published snapshot images, which is quite helpful for current IVI releases especially.
For the documentation of gbs localfullbuild support, as below: 1. For full build from pure source code: https://source.tizen.org/documentation/developer-guide/all-one-instructions/creating-tizen-images-scratch-one-page 2. For full build to reproduce one specific snapshot image (take IVI as sample): https://source.tizen.org/documentation/developer-guide/all-one-instructions/creating-tizen-ivi-images-based-on-specific-snapshot-one-page 3. Jenkins jobs as a front UI for some common usage configurations: https://source.tizen.org/documentation/developer-guide/all-one-instructions/one-click-solution-tizen-image-creation-based-on-jenkins-framework About private infrastructure support, from GBS perspective, there’s no big difference between tizen.org and private infrastructure setup, because GBS need only source code hosting(for git clone) and download servers(optional, for snapshot meta informations). So we can consider gbs-localfullbuild has no problem to support private infras. And AFAIK, inside Samsung, with many private infrastructure setups for different projects, gbs work well with them. thanks - jf.ding On Monday, January 12, 2015 at 6:28 PM, Dominig ar Foll wrote: > Ed and JF. > > you are correct in noticing that I forgot to specifically explain what > the gbs tool set can provide and it would be nice if you would provide > extra information to the Community on how gbs tool set can help in > developing a profile project based on Common which is not hosted in > Tizen.org (http://Tizen.org) but rather on a private infrastructure. > > The model for tizen.org (http://tizen.org) public profile development is > already quite well > documented but having some pointer reposted would also be useful. > > Thanks for pointing the miss. > > Regards > > Dominig > > Le 12/01/2015 03:43, JF Ding a écrit : > > Ed, thanks for your clarification.
