Hello, on my machine, I had added two SSD and I found out that the main board was over heating. Removing the second SSD has fixed the issue.
In short Yocto is heavily maximizing the use of your PC what speed up greatly the build time but can shake low or average quality HW a bit too much. So check that you Fans are working well, vacuum clean the box and run a build with a temperature probe activated. I used gkrellm.
