I don't know what that OS might have > been. I just checked OpenSUSE, it also has grub-install.
That would be my guess as well, but I have learned* that making guesses about what command to use when the names are similar, which options are safe to drop when the command you're trying doesn't support them and the like is a quick and efficient way to mess up everything. ---- * Yes, I can learn things.
