Hi Rory,
FYI, I also installed Java 7u51 on our Jenkins Server (Linux, Win7, MacOS; 32/64 bits). As far as I see, the Hotspot bugs in 7u40 and 7u45, affecting Lucene/Solr, are not fixed in this release, is this right? I was a little bit surprised, because I expected 7u60 coming next! The bug list of 7u51 only contains mostly fixes for Plugin users and some runtime changes, but no Hotspot fixes? And not even bug numbers are listed, so it’s hard to follow what changed. The list of security fixes is inaccessible, too. It may be good to get some information a bit earlier, when and which updates will be released. JDK 7u60 b02 did not change, the download is still the same from December – so nothing to do on my side.
