Strange, the certificate is up-to-date and valid until 2017, just checked it 
with my browser for https://repository.cloudera.com/

Maybe your JVM is outdated and does not know the recent root certificates? Or 
the old cert is cached somewhere?
In my opinion, for performance reasons we should not use the cloudera repo with 
HTTPS? Plain HTTP should be fine to download artifacts. Checksums are checked 
anyway.
