I'm reopening this, something is wrong with the fix ... when I index Geonames
with 2 threads I sometimes see strange sized segments on flush, e.g.:

DWPT 0 [Tue May 06 10:45:11 EDT 2014; Thread-0]: flush postings as segment _25
