Is there any way to retrieve the request the total number of groups, in despite
of the (previously noted) performance penalty involved? We'd like to be able to
provide complete paging and total counts, but we can't when the total number of
documents is say, 200, but the last group is say, 190. That would mean that the
last page in a 10-document pager would be empty.
