Hoss Man commented on SOLR-4407: -------------------------------- bq. So, for the time being it works, but if we move Solr away from users being able to customize their servlet containers (standalone app mode) then Solr will need to make this capability configurable somehow. I don't understand this comment at all. have you looked at the "Enabling SSL" ref guide page that steve mentioned? For Solr 5.0 it has been brought up to date with all the necessary details on running Solr with SSL (notably SOLR_SSL_OPTS) w/o the user needing/having any special information about if/when there is a servlet container being used under the covers by Solr. What aspect of SSL do you think isn't already configurable? > SSL Certificate based authentication for SolrCloud > -------------------------------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-4407 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-4407 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: SolrCloud > Affects Versions: 4.1 > Reporter: Sindre Fiskaa > Assignee: Steve Rowe > Labels: Authentication, Certificate, SSL > Fix For: 4.7, Trunk > > > I need to be able to secure sensitive information in solrnodes running in a > SolrCloud with either SSL client/server certificates or http basic auth.. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@lucene.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@lucene.apache.org
