Not everybody has an opinion on the other issues, I guess. I feel I know enough
to vote on Javadoc issues, but on others, I don't understand the implications
either way.
But, rechecking that list, I think, for Solr, ..zip is better than .tgz for our
target audience. Even if it is 2015. For Lucene, I don't know, maybe .tgz only
is ok. But that would introduce inconsistencies between Lucene and Solr
distributions.
