Ramkumar Aiyengar commented on SOLR-7344: ----------------------------------------- Yonik, I am curious as to why Streaming API has to have infinite recursion? Is it a necessity or a design choice to do this instead of having one federator issuing all requests? Having two levels (external, internal) is enough of a headache trying to come up with usage patterns and knowing what the optimal amount of parallelism is. I share Mark's concern that this patch or not, having the possibility of one query eating up all threads is scary.. > Allow Jetty thread pool limits while still avoiding distributed deadlock. > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-7344 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-7344 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: SolrCloud > Reporter: Mark Miller > Attachments: SOLR-7344.patch > > -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@lucene.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@lucene.apache.org
