Also the link permission is maybe a little dangerous for people. If there is a 
bug in the test it could do potentially cause real harm.

Maybe it should have an additional catch block for SecurityException like so:

} catch (SecurityException e) {
  assumeNoException("test cannot create symbolic links with security manager 
enabled", e);
}
{code}
