Summary: Investigate non-reproducible DaemonStream test timeout

A new non-reproducible DaemonStream/TopicStream test failure is occurring. The
logs show that the DaemonStream is blocked waiting for new documents during a
section of the test where documents should be available.
Planning to add some asserts to see if the documents are in the index as
expected.
