Thanks for persisting Mike.  

I (and other JFlex community members) still haven't made any progress on the 
JFlex release blockers, so it's probably best to move forward using the current 
JFlex release rather than waiting for JFlex 1.7 to be released.

I'll try to review your work on this issue this week.
