This is indeed the case but there is still no PayloadQParserPlugin, probably 
for the reason that there is also no Similarity implementation taking care of 
payload scoring.

We have and use such a plugin and can provide it, and a BM25 similarity where 
the payload is directly used for scoring in the basic cases. But payloads can 
be used for much fancier applications, so would would Solr want to support? 
Without a similarity, the parser is useless.
