I suppose it depends? For example, our shutdown script used to kill Solr really
fast on shutdown - like after 5 seconds. It's still pretty quick, maybe 30
seconds? But with lots of cores and data, it can easily take longer than for a
shutdown. Some users also index during shutdown. So it's not too hard to
imagine a shutdown, upgrade, and requirement to replay old tlogs.
