Hi Adrien,
I backported the MMAP stuff. Unfortunately we cannot run the tests with Java 9 on Lucene 5, because we have many failing tests for other reasons (like RAMUsageTester). So this only fixes Java 9 unmapping. I tested it successfully, so all looks good. Most stuff was to add a missing method and convert lambdas to Java 7. I also backported some other issues: * Update Groovy * Javadocs fixes for Java 8u121 The recent one is a bit tricky and still broken, but it no longer fails the build on recent Java 8 and possibly on paid (!!) Java 7 updates we have no access to! I sent a separate e-mail for discussion. I may do some documentation/changes fixes, but otherwise I am fine to go. ----- Uwe Schindler Achterdiek 19, D-28357 Bremen http://www.thetaphi.de <http://www.thetaphi.de/> eMail: u...@thetaphi.de From: Adrien Grand [mailto:jpou...@gmail.com] Sent: Monday, February 6, 2017 2:44 PM To: dev@lucene.apache.org Subject: Re: Backport mmap to 5.5 Hi Uwe, It works for me. Thanks for doing it. Le lun. 6 févr. 2017 à 14:23, Uwe Schindler <u...@thetaphi.de <mailto:u...@thetaphi.de> > a écrit : Hi, I was talking on Saturday with Sanne Grinovero this weekend on FOSDEM. Because they have to support the current version of Hibernate Search for longer time including Java 9 support, they would like to have current Java 9 support backported to 5.5 and 5.3. I told him 5.3 is unlikely to get ever released, but he may apply the 5.5 patch to 5.3, too. As the backport requires some Java 7 changes, I'd like to do this now. So give me one or 2 days! OK?
