Cassandra Targett commented on SOLR-13116:
------------------------------------------

The description for this issue isn't exactly incorrect, but it possibly
understates the need here.

When using Kerberos one does not "login" anywhere. One either has a valid
ticket or one doesn't and access to the Admin UI is granted based on the
validity of the ticket without any user input. The need is that the login page
not be presented when a user has a valid ticket.

With the current login page implementation, it seems that a Kerberos-secured
Solr will present a user with an error instead of properly granting access
according to whatever authz rules have been put in place.
