The reason that I used AggressiveOpts in my GC experiments is because it is 
mentioned by the documentation in words like these:  "Enabling options that are 
expected to be enabled by default in the next major release of Java."  I would 
not expect the Java developers to include anything in that option if its 
quality is questionable ... but I could be wrong!

If that option is deprecated, then there would be no reason to keep it.
