Tomoko Uchida commented on LUCENE-8764:
---------------------------------------

Hi,

the screenshots look good to me, and the status messages are fine. (Not sure
it's already implemented, you can easily show an indicator GIF along with the
"Exporting..." message. See "Optimize index" dialog for example.)

For clarity, I think the absolute output file path should be shown in the
dialog instead of just showing the file name. Also I would like to expose this
feature "we could have the filename/directory to be specified by the user" from
the first version. It's should not be difficult to use JFileChooser component
(you just need a few more lines), could you try this?

I have not looked into the patch yet, will review it this weekend.

> This is a migrated issue from previous Luke project in GitHub:
> [https://github.com/DmitryKey/luke/issues/3] (There are users' requests so I
> moved this from GitHub to Jira)
> You can browse terms in arbitrary field via Luke GUI, but in some cases
> "exporting all terms (and optionally docids) to a file" feature would be
> useful for further inspection. It might be similar to Solr's terms component.
> As for the user interface, "Export terms" button should be located in
> Overview tab and/or Documents tab.
