I've been working on the development of the Java Platform and the JDK for a little more than 20 years. First in the Javasoft group at Sun Microsystems, and later in the Java Platform Group at Oracle. After spending much of my working life as a "producer of Java", I'm now with Elastic and looking forward to seeing what it is like as a "user of Java”.
