Thank you all for the warm welcome!

It's an honor to join the Lucene project as a committer -- this community
has been super active and helpful, I learn something new with each
interaction here :)

A bit about me: My name is Kaival Parikh, and I'm originally from Mumbai,
India. I work at Amazon on a Lucene-based search engine for its e-commerce
marketplace.

I'm fascinated by the information retrieval space, the clever data
structures and algorithms that go behind indexing, matching and ranking
documents in a flexible way, and the amount of effort put in by Lucene
developers to expose these features in a safe, intuitive and performant way.

I'm particularly interested in vector search, which has seen explosive
growth and adoption in recent times -- and all the synergies and challenges
of supporting vector search in a mature, full-fledged search engine library
like Lucene.

Outside of work: I'm a (selective) foodie, love traveling and having new
adrenaline-fueled experiences, and watching a variety of shows and movies.

Thanks again for this opportunity, looking forward to contributing and
growing with this community!

Kaival
