That's a good point. As the problematic API (there are no garantees that
points an doc values are in sync) was introduced in 10.5 we should
remove it as soon as possible.
I think we should get the revert
(https://github.com/apache/lucene/pull/16629) into 10.5.2 to get rid of
buggy APIs introduced in 10.5.0.

Btw I came across an open issue for another bug in 10.5.1
(https://github.com/apache/lucene/issues/16573). I don't know much about it,
but we might want to include the fix in this release?
