I've put some patches in Jira to free us from Oracle's roller coaster of
javadoc link bullshit forever....

...I think we should not only commit them to trunk & 3x but also
the 3.5 branch and spin an RC3. It would look really silly to release
3.5 RC2 with a hardcoded URL in the build.xml that 404s and fails the build.
