I think I agree with Hoss and Erick here... we're not really gaining anything
with this change, and it does seem likely it will cause problems for people
upgrading.
edit: I wouldn't treat q.op and defaultField the same way either... I agree w/
Hoss that defaultSearchField seems useful, and I don't even think it should be
deprecated or declared bad practice. I would remove q.op from the example
schema (but perhaps retain the code for those who already use it).
