* we have an existing stable build/packaging tasks that works, and have been
iterated on for 5 3.x release already.
* personally i've already tested the crap out of this branch before RC, its not

running now. I was planning on cutting an RC yesterday before this shit

So i didnt just rush into this shit and make it blocker as some knee-jerk

As i said on my email, given the discussion about this on the other thread, i'd
rather fix shit than argue
on mailing lists about whether our release is legal or not. If anyone else has
a different opinion and is
willing to sacrifice days of their life arguing with apache board members

go with whats in branch_3x now.
But given the discussion, personally I'm not going to be involved in (and will
vote against) any release
that has jar files in the source.tgz.
