i'm not sure, that's the reason why i'm asking. While thinking about this ... 
perhaps it's a bit more like this:

{code}core0 \
       - shard1 - debian2
core1 /{code}

Because it's running the same shard on the same machine. If we have core0 on 
debian2 and core1 on debian3, then like this:

{code}core0 - shard1 - debian2

core1 - shard1 - debian3{code}

(regardless if that configuration would make sense or not, just for 
demonstration)

in either case, that would mean, that (at least) for the radial view, we could 
have a graph with multiple root-nodes. don't know why i've included that strict 
handling for one collection :/
