Anshum Gupta commented on SOLR-4777: ------------------------------------ Here's where the Slice state is currently used. It may help put things in perspective. After a shardsplit Collections API call completes, the parent shard goes inactive i.e. stops receiving any requests (documents/queries/...), however on the admin UI it still shows up as a green slice. It should switch to a different color on the UI. > Handle SliceState in the Admin UI > --------------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-4777 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-4777 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: SolrCloud, web gui > Reporter: Anshum Gupta > > The Solr admin UI as of now does take Slice state into account. > We need to have that differentiated. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
