Fixed several other NPEs before getting to the code where it uses the
DocRouter. It looks like the router that is used is the ImplicitDocRouter not
the HashBasedRouter. So it returns a null Slice. Any idea how to get the
correct DocRouter for hash-based from the API? Or could we just create a new
HashBasedRouter instance and use it.
