It's a false dichotomey for a start - it's also a wild exageration. It's also a nasty judgment of your fellow committers - I see you have been committing a lot over the past few weeks - you have just been shoving shit in and destabilizing the code base? To it's logical conclusion, this is such a silly statement that is part of a silly argument. I don't care about several weeks. There should be one week notice, and I think anyone not willing to do that when working with the larger community is kind of a jerk. - Mark
