=== Apache Mahout Status Report: April 2011 === ISSUES There are no issues requiring board attention at this time. CURRENT ACTIVITY The project expects to continue with an 0.5 release around May 2011. 93 issues have been resolved for 0.5, with 25 more planned before the release: https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true &jqlQuery=project+%3D+MAHOUT+AND+fixVersion+%3D+%220.5%22 After that, we believe, will be a 1.0 release. From 0.5, the focus will change to making the code base stable and 1.0-ready. COMMITTERS Apache Mahout added Dmitriy Lyubimov and Shannon Quinn as new committers in February 2011. MAHOUT IN ACTION The book "Mahout in Action", published by Manning, has been completed and will be published in May 2011 (delayed slightly from February 2011 date).
