I would drop this. I think it will be barely half-used at all, making it worse
to apply this than not at all.
We already have a bunch of stuff marked "@Deprecated" that was meant to mean
"not really tested or supported or maybe used, but one day someone will make a
decision and work on it" and it wasn't really used or acted on.
I am also not sure the project needs more half-finished stuff. I'd rather not
bless such things.
