Leting Wu commented on MAHOUT-1034:
-----------------------------------

Hi, jayghost. Have you tried it out?
I have figured it out.
On a single node machine, you need to force Mahout to run on local by setting
MAHOUT_LOCAL = TRUE in command line.
On a cluster, you should get through without problem.
The hadoop version actually does not matter. I tried 1.0.3 with Mahout 0.6. It
just works on clusters. I guess the default setting is trying to get
configuration from Hadoop to run on cluster.
Case closed.
