Build #1920 [1] showed a sharply increased number of PMD warnings recently.
The report that shows the new warnings [2] indicates that the new warnings seem to be primarily unused imports and other simple issues that should be fixable by using IDE inspections. IntelliJ, for instance, would bitch before committing a change with these problems. I will take a whack at this if somebody else doesn't get to this first.
