Hello, I am Manoj (https://github.com/MechCoder), an undergraduate student, highly interested in machine learning and applied mathematics. I have contributed to SymPy (Google Summer of Code 2013) (Proposal <https://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/project/details/google/gsoc2013/manojkumar/5640915557285888>) , scikit-learn (Google Summer of Code 2014) (Proposal <https://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/project/details/google/gsoc2014/manojkumar/5673522948997120>) . I continued contributing after GSoC and I'm a core contributor of the scikit-learn project now. I've also contributed minor patches to projects like IPython, SciPy and NumPy.
I am eager to start contributing to the Mahout project. It would be highly useful to me (and hopefully to the community as well) and a good opportunity to hone my JAVA skills. This was just a short introduction, before I try to start contributing. I had a really quick look at the issues list, are the easy to fix ones those marked as trivial?
