The work doesn't end there, its a start. We have been looking in general, to be more inclusive in the words we choose and scrub the mistakes of the past to move forward. Here are a few cleanups my team and I have been doing. may not be relevant to Mahout -- but thought I would share.
Whitelist/Blacklist -> Allowedlist, Blockedlist (Honestly that is more self explanatory) Master vs Slave -> Primary vs Secondary or Replica (calling it Synchronous Replica and Asynchronous Replica is actually a better name) I know there are more offensive and confusing terms, that we just use because of habit. Let's take this opportunity to break that habit better ourselves. Afterall code is never perfect.
