Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-497:
----------------------------------------

The branch is created. I separated the parsing of the view urls for the
different types into different bodies of code because I expect we will discover
that there are differences in how lists are dealt with.

I will need to think about the whole issue of identification of list items vs.
library documents. Probably this will mean an enhancement to the form of the
canonical document identifier in the SharePoint connector. That, in turn, will
mean that we will need to signal back to the connector whether a discovered
entity is a list or a library. So there will need to be significant changes I
think.

I will be off of the web until next Tuesday evening, but I plan to work on the
problem in the interim nevertheless, so I hope to have something ready to try
by Wednesday morning for you.

> Lists are similar to libraries, but without documents. We still should be
> able to index empty documents with metadata, however, or select an attribute
> to treat as the document.
